Photo compression plugin

Good day all,
I’m looking for a wordpress plugin that i can use to compress large photos that users may upload on my classifieds site that I’m busy setting up.
The current problem that I will have in the future if the site goes live is if they have photos taken from a camera or cell phone, it is usually in the region of 3MB. This makes the upload extremely long.
In South Africa in certain areas we still have relatively slow internet connections compared to Europe and the US. Our networks are also overloaded that slow the speed down dramatically.
My question is, what plugin can be recommended to compress photos while the user upload his classifieds listing.
I made notes on the site to say that large photos should first be compressed before uploading but it is a bit unprofessional
