No Categories – Update 8.3 to 8.6 ?

    So I updated from 8.3 to 8.6 and my categories are not showing up?

    I was told that 8.6 is a new theme and I would have to re-enter my categories and posts. (which would be way to time consuming) Anyone else have this issue?

    There is no way I am re-categorizing my posts or entering in the amount of categories I have again.

    Why does 8.6 break previous category code? Still waiting for an answer on why . Maybe I will be able to fix it myself.
