New Responsive Shop Theme

I am still confused as to what exactly the difference is between the Non-Responsive ShopperPress and Responsive Shop Theme. Is it an add-on that makes the website look/feel different but still has the base foundation of shopperpress (like another version of golfshopper inside shopperpress)

I purchased shopperpress back in april this year and use the golfshopper theme inside shopperpress.

Is there a new version of shopperpress I now need to download? (I see when I login to this support area it says shoppperpress 7.1.4 August.

If so, how would I update my site without losing my products?
