Please Help! My website is almost done, but I can not finish until I understand Listings and Memberships. Just reading that Membership Packages can have multiple Listing packages does not compute with me. Please help me so I can finish my website. Sorry to be so dense. Thank you!

Struggling with Membership & Listing Packages.

I have listened to the videos numerous times. I have read forum posts back a dozen or more pages, and I am still confused.

Here is what I want.

*Free Membership for a basic, single entry with a few input fields.
*4 Listing options for additional features and options, such as the number of images and more input fields, but still the single entry limit.
*2 Category restrictions, for classified and events categories I have added, with multiple listing options in those 2 categories. I found how to restrict/price these categories, but do I put these into Membership or Listing packages?

My website is like a directory, I want people to be restricted to 1 listing, with the exception of the classified and event categories.

What I think I understand.
1. There must be at least 1 Membership package in order for the site to work.
2. Membership packages can offer multiple listings, but Listing packages can only offer 1 listing.
3. Membership fees are charged at signup, Listing package costs are charged at submission of the listing.

Now here is where I am confused.

I have my 4 different Listing packages, and Memberships can have multiple Listings, but it appears in the setup options for the Membership package that I can only select 1 Listing package. How is that multiple, or does it mean only multiples of “1″ Listing package? Therefore I would have to create 4 membership packages to make my 4 Listing packages work. ??

Yet the tutorial videos say I have the option to have multiple stand-alone Listing packages, but if I can only have 1 Membership package with 1 Listing package assigned, how could that work? Would I charge for Membership or Listing? And how is a Listing package stand-alone, if it requires a Membership package?

Obviously I do not understand. Please. please help.

Oh, I forgot to say…

I had wanted to have 1 Membership package, and 4 Listing packages.

And when people signed up under the 1 free Membership package, people would then select only 1 of the 4 Listing packages. But now I don’t think that that is how it works.
