Is there anyway of switching on HTML text editor on the Home Page “1 column object” ?
At the moment I try to add an image and align it, and it won’t display correctly.
Work on the html outside of your browser then simply copy/paste it into the box.
Yep, did that, and image still didn’t respond correctly when aligned.
Seems to be an issue when adding images to pages too, I’m using img class=”alignright” and the images are just sitting on the left, with text below it.
David, try replacing
<div style="text-align: right;"><img src="...></div>
It’s possible that the WP classes are being overwritten or ignored. To test this, I generally put the object in a div, and style the div itself.
Gil, that aligns the image right, but still leaves the text sitting below the image.
This seems to be a pretty basic thing that it’s struggling to handle
Anyone else tried this in a page or post or home page column ?
David, would need to see a link so we can see what your looking at.

I’m trying to adapt the image on the home page to simply sit to the right of the text, pretty basic HTML – but all it does is sit above the text.
You’ve put a div around it which means it’s now a block. You would can either remove the div or change the ‘text-align:center’ to ‘text-align: right; float:right;’
also text-align: right; wont do anything here, since there is no text inside the div and your trying to move the image.
This is the original code from previous DirectoryPress home page :
That no longer works on the responsive theme.
I only tried <div> as per the suggestion above.
Just wanted to show the code.
<img class="alignright" style="margin: 5px;" alt="Wedding Guest Posts" src="http://weddingbuzz.co.uk/wp-content/themes/directorypress/thumbs/wedding-guest-posts.png" width="339" height="463" />
.alignright isnt part f the framework, so use;
<img class="alignright" style="margin: 5px;float:right;" alt="Wedding Guest Posts" src="http://weddingbuzz.co.uk/wp-content/themes/directorypress/thumbs/wedding-guest-posts.png" width="339" height="463" />
Yes, that works, thanks for your help Mark.
