    About

    A store finder plugin for the non responsive version of DirectoryPress. Based upon Pazzey’s Store Locator by Chris Pune: http://wordpress.org/plugins/pazzeys-store-locator/
    Description

    The store finder is called using the shortcode [geo-google]

    The shortcode takes optional attributes of width and height eg: [geo-google width = “960” height = “300”]. The default width and heights are 650px x 500px.

    To call the code in your template files:

    <?php geogoogle_locator_php( $width, $height ) ?>

    The $width and $height variables are optional. The default width and heights are 650px x 500px.

    IMPORTANT: Geo Googe works by taking the address that is input into the Map Location on the submission form and geocodes that address. It stores the geo location variables in two new custom fields called ‘longitude’ and ‘latitude’.

    If you already have listings on your site, they will not appear in the results. Only listings posted after the activation of the plug in will be geocoded.

    To get around this, you can use a service like http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocoder/ to geocode multiple addresses and update your listings via csv with the longitude and latitude variables.

    You can download Geo Google at http://www.geo-google.com

    Sorry for being a donut since this is all new to me, but I want to put the map on a page called Map on my main menu.

    Ive created the Page, Ive installed and actived the plug-in.

    Which template do I put this in?

    1. Place <?php do_action(‘plugin_name_hook’); ?> in your templates

    and do I make it read <?php do_action(‘geogoogle_locator_php'); ?> ?

    ..and do I put this in the Map Page?

    <?php geogoogle_locator_php( $width, $height ) ?>

    Thanks for your help.

    Please use this site for any question about the plug in. It is unfair to take up this space to discuss any issues.
