Exclude main navigation from Home page…

    Hi all,
    I’m using the Video Theme (version 8).
    My Home Page/Front Page display is Last Posts (i.e., not static)
    I have menus set up for Top, Main and Mobile.
    By default the Top and Main menus appear on the Home/Front Page as well as all other pages I land on as I select menu items.

    I’d like the Main menu to be excluded from the Home Page/ Front Page ( the only site page that non-members will be able to see).

    Is there functionality within the VT theme to do this or do I need to make changes using a child theme?
    Grateful of any help/advice.
    Thanks.

    This can be done using CSS, needs your url.

    Use this in Design Setup > In the right-side box and click Save CSS changes only

    .home #core_header_navigation {
    display: none; }

    .home #core_menu_wrapper {
    display: none; }

    Thanks for your response Hemanta. The code works. It also removes the top menu from the Home/Front Page. Is there a way to just isolate and remove the main menu so that I still have the Top menu on my Home/Front page?

    I assume that the CSS change will not be affected from future Video theme updates.

    Thanks again.

    This hide the top-menu :

    .home #core_header_navigation {
    display: none; }

    And this hide the main menu :

    .home #core_menu_wrapper {
    display: none; }

    Use whatever you want.

    I am sorry but for me ” #core_header_navigation { display:none; } ” is just not working no more. I have no idea why… any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Best way to do this is to create a childtheme.

    Duplicate header.php from the parent

    Remove the code <b><?php get_template_part( ‘header’, ‘menu’ ); ?></b>
