Email Confirmation

I want to know if there is a way to add the newsletter emails directly to the db without subscription confirmation email

The problem is that some visitors sign in for news letter but the confirmation email
is either not delivered or is in junk mail box

if there can be an option where the confirmation email is removed or it adds the email to db but shows didnot confirm / confirmed user were admin can decide to whom he would like to send emails
