Hello Josh or other guru,
Each blog post includes the date of posting and social media icon. 4 icons appeared on blog post that is facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. Is it possible to change or customize the icon? I do not have LinkedIn and Google+ and is it very confusing if to leave the icon there. I have changed the social media icon under the Theme Setup. Out of choice, I use tumblr icon in youtube section and pinterest icon in RSS Feed section. All my 4 social media icons showed nicely under footer but the social media icons in the blog post are not linked to the icon in the footer. Please see the attached social media icons on the blog post for your reference.
Thanks in advance.
The social media links are pulled from Addthis.com
You can create own account at Addthis.com,select your social media options then add username under Theme Setup >Content Setup >Addthis.com
I have off the Addthis.com. I do not wish to use Addthis.com. May I know how to remove those social media button or customize the button according to my needs? Is it a must to activate Addthis.com to customize those button?
Please go to Appearance >Editor >content-single-post.php >Remove
<?php echo do_shortcode('[D_SOCIAL size=16]'); ?>
I can’t remove the code in the php file. It showed this error message “Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.” Any alternative ways, I mean easier ways to remove those social media icon? Thanks.
Access the file content-single-post.php directly from host.Either via ftp or cpanel and remove the code
Thank a lot. Have removed the 4 icons.
You’re welcome Kok.Have a great day
