Custom Fields on Author Profile Pages

I spent few hours searching for an answer and every thread I found ended with no solution, so I have to post another thread about this.

I need to add more details to the author profile page (a public profile page). For example, instead of listing only their:

Country
Joined May 19, 2016 4:46 pm
Last online May 19, 2016 4:50 pm
Email and Social Buttons
Description
User Feedback

I need to add a couple more fields like:

Certifications
Specialty
Years in Business

Now, I would expect that custom fields I added in My Account page would have an option to be visible on Author Profile Page, but that’s not the case. This is a real bummer, because in my opinion, premium theme that is focused on selling services needs more options for Authors to show their skills on their profile pages. Also, clients should be able to filter authors by their certifications, years in business, or specialties.

My conclusion so far is that I have to find a programmer to edit the theme to be able to add this functionality, and probably pay much more than for the theme itself to have something that I thought was a basic function.

Now, please surprise me and tell me that I’m wrong, or tell me there is a plugin that I can use to do what I need.
