    Mark,

Got it, installed it, working fab so far.

One question ... you used to be able to have a spot on the Home page with a Featured Image that you could link to a category/page/etc. Did that go away, or was it moved? Can't seem to locate it in the admin panels.

'A lot of changes' wasn't an understatement. A lot of improvements from what I see - very nice!

    Do you want bugs here?

    1. CouponPress > General Setup > Hidden Categories. The drop down box is empty so I can't select any categories to be hidden.

    2. The quick import by merchant seems to work fine. It still creates a parent category called 'iCode Merchants' - I don't know if that's right?

    3. The quick import by category. It creates a 'iCode Categories' but no subcategories appear under it. However, under the 'iCode Merchants' it creates all the merchants as subcategories. This means each coupon is under the stores name (/stores/merchant) and also /categories/icode-merchants/merchant

    Mark:

    1. CouponPress > General Setup > Hidden Categories. The drop down box is empty so I can't select any categories to be hidden. (Confirmed)

... I show two categories on my drop down but nothing more.

Submit and Manage Coupon buttons have vanished from front page and no longer display on the direct link. To Add Coupons.

    hi Stephen

    1. the "featured image" caused more harm than good, you can use the "home page"customization box (next beta) to add your own content there instead.

    2. icons are now a widget, so u can add buttons using the button widget.

    3. thanks, ill check the hidden cats option.

    Ben

    1. thank you, fixed

    2. thanks, ill remove that now.

    3. removing the "icodes merchant" category will remove the extra category name, codes are still linked to both category and store for the time being to ensure customers with customizations dont have to start again and will slowly phase over.

Just to expand on points 3:

Quick import categories & coupons/offers. Both of these options add coupons to the correct categories. But, the categories don't show up in Coupons > Categories. Instead of the categories showing up the 'iCode Merchants' subcategories are created.

    Hopefully this makes sense.

    Quick import merchants & coupons/offers:
Coupons > Stores. Correctly sets up the stores and adds coupons to them.
Coupons > Categories. Creates 'iCode Merchants' parent category. (Thanks for saying you'll remove it).

    Quick import categories & coupons/offers:
Coupons > Categories. 'iCode Categories' parent created but no subcategories displayed. Under 'iCode Merchants' it creates subcategories using the merchant names.

Sorry if the merchant subcategories being created is how it's designed to be. I think it may add confusion though. The 'iCode Categories' not appearing in admin is strange - they show on individual coupons on the website.

Also, the last 2 pages of categories are blank (see 2nd screenshot).

    4. Navigating to /store/abc/ and /category/icode-categories/123/ returns a 404 page not found error.

    5. Display Settings > Stores. If I try to select the first store on the list it doesn't bring up the editing options.

Ben, point 1, wordpress has a caching for categories, if you click to edit any of the existing category, just click save instead of editing it the system will refresh and all new categories will magically appear.

point 4. this is because of the above + u then need to refresh your permalinks page.

Thanks - I never realised that about the categories. They're all showing up now with no blank pages! Permalinks are working too.

The expiry seemed to be working ok. It expired a few of my old posts but I did a reset shortly after that. I've set up a test coupon now, so I'll see if it expires in 25 minutes.

    6. If I edit a coupon it automatically defaults the featured listing selection to yes. It does this with all coupons, even if I've already changed it to no and then saved it. If I go back to edit it later on it defaults to yes again.

    7. Where it displays 'Expires in X days' on coupons. This disappears if it is due to expire today. It would be helpful if this said 'Expires today'.

Expiry works. I set it to move to a different category.

The coupon was still allocated to a store after expiry. If possible I would like another option for expiring coupons - ability to choose if the store is removed from the coupon.

If they remain as part of a store when a visitor browses to the store page it'll be cluttered with old expired coupons. Unless you can find a way to automatically put all expired coupons below active coupons?

Another request if I may - where it displays 'Expires in X days'. When it expires it disappears. Is it possible to have it show 'Expired' please?

My main concern is that UK coupon sites have to meet the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council code of conduct. As part of that we have to either clearly state if a coupon has expired or remove it completely. I'd prefer not to remove them completely so need a clearer way to show it has expired.

    8. If the right sidebar is empty the following message is displayed, even for users that are not logged in.

    Right Sidebar
Click here to edit this sidebar

This sidebar is Widget ready which means you can customize the contents displayed here with widgets.

    6. fixed thanks

    7. thanks, the expiry tool clears the expiry date so it doesnt continue to loop thus it maybe the coupon was about to expirey when you viewed yet ill check it anyways.

if someone didnt enter an expiry date, it would say "expired" so it may cause confusion here but ill add an extra option for you.

    Ben:

On your expiry issue. Could you just not create a Category Clearly Labeled as EXPIRED and move them to that Category? There would certainly be no mistaking that the coupons are EXPIRED then. Just a thought.

Unsure if this is template related or beta related, but this appears on my blog page using the CleanBlue Theme in 6.8

Also seems that images are missing .. minor things. So far nothing major other than items Ben has run into and you have corrected.

    Liking the direction.
