Is it possible for a normal user to bulk import the items they want for sale ?

If not is it possible for the admin to bulk import for a user .. i.e import items and assign them to a user name ?

    thanks
    David.

    hi david,

no, only admin can do bulk import through the CSV import tool.

Normal users must add their listings one by one via Add Listing page

In WP All import you can select a user to import to as author and set all the specialist fields.

It is a payed plugin but well worth it.

Not even from USERS in main menu, am I missing something here ? IS there a link you need to share that shows this ?

I’ve not seen a tutorial or link I worked it out my self but it is possible. You use author and then each user has an author number you import to.

Best thing to do is install WP import export and export a sample data set. This will help you identify the fields you then what to import to. The good thing is WP all import also allows you to create a template from the exported data.

I used this when I was importing 15,000 listings into 45 users. I then set cron up on my server to fetch ftp xml then upload.

It worked very well I use to run a full import once a week then a delta import updating only new data everyday.
