Ads only display in footer, New widgets added run across the entire width of the website

I am unable to display any new ads in the side column and header areas. When I place an advertisement to display on a category such as Computers, it will display but it is forced all the way over to the left side of the web page. The same issue happens with newly added widgets. Like there is some code missing to contain the ad or widget in the right hand column. I don't know if it matters but I am unable to display a homepage image. Any ideas? You can see the issue here. http://freestudentshopper.com/category/buy-and-sell/computers/

This problem has existed for at least two months but I have not addressed it due to my scheduel

under advertising, did you enable the banner ad spots? header, footer, left and right? mine are working fine but i have never been able to place any ad in a category since it also runs off to the right of the site

Sorry, I have been away. I did enable the banners and still they do not display. I am going t
o put in a ticket at this point because I am going backward and have tried all things I could think of.
